Sprinkler Winterization in Brick & Point Pleasant, NJ

Sprinkler winterization in Brick and Point Pleasant: Coastal Mist Irrigation closes and blows out lawn sprinkler systems across Brick Township, Point Pleasant Borough, and Point Pleasant Beach every fall. We use a commercial high-volume compressor and cycle every zone two to three times, because one pass leaves water sitting in the low spots. Call or text 609-548-5187 to book.

Already Know You Need It? Here Is How Booking Works

If you are still deciding on timing, start with our guide on when to winterize sprinklers in Brick Township. This page is for homeowners who are ready to schedule. Call, text, or use the online scheduler, tell us roughly how many zones you have and where the shutoff is, and we will give you a price and a day. We route Brick and Point Pleasant together, so appointments in both towns usually land in the same week.

What We Do on the Visit

  • Shut off the irrigation supply and drain the backflow preventer
  • Blow out each zone with compressed air until the heads throw mist, then repeat the full sequence
  • Leave the backflow test cocks at 45 degrees so nothing is trapped
  • Set the controller to off or winter mode
  • Flag any broken heads, leaking valves, or wiring faults we see along the way

More on the process is on our winterization and blow-out service page.

What Is Different About Systems Here

Lagoon and bayfront lots

Shore Acres, Baywood, Midstreams, and the other lagoon neighborhoods in Brick are built on sandy fill a few feet above the water table. Pipe sits shallow, lots are narrow, and backflow preventers are usually mounted outside where the wind off the bay reaches them. Those backflows are the first component to freeze, so we do not like to see these systems left past mid-November.

Inland Brick

Herbertsville, Lanes Mill, and Lake Riviera have larger lots, more mature trees, and more zones per system. Roots lift and pinch pipe over the years, which creates low spots that hold water. We run extra cycles on those zones.

Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Beach

Small lots and short runs make these quick appointments, but a lot of the homes are seasonal or rented in summer. If nobody will be there in October, tell us when you book and we will arrange access to the shutoff and controller ahead of time.

Timing and Cost

The window in northern Ocean County runs from about October 15 to November 15. Most residential systems cost $85 to $150 to winterize: roughly $85 to $110 for 4 to 5 zones, $110 to $135 for 6 to 8 zones, and $135 to $165 for 9 to 12 zones. See the full cost guide, or ask about the annual service plan if you want the spring startup included.

Frequently Asked Questions

My system has drain valves. Do I still need a blowout?
Yes. Manual and automatic drains empty the lowest points only. Pipe in this area is rarely graded well enough for the rest to drain by gravity, and water stays in the heads and valves either way.

What if a freeze is forecast before my appointment?
Shut the irrigation supply off and open the test cocks on the backflow preventer. Our guide on winterizing a backflow preventer shows how. That protects the most expensive part until we get there.

Do you repair what you find?
Yes. Small fixes can often be done the same day. Anything larger we quote for spring. See repairs and maintenance.
